BEFORE WEARING YOUR AUTOMATIC WATCH

Before wearing your automatic watch for the first time or if you have it resting for over a day, it is best to give it an initial wind before wearing it.

The initial wind consists of 15 times hand wind to the crown, giving the watch a boost start. If you’re someone who has an inactive occupation

(ex. Working on the computer) throughout the day, you may need to hand wind the watch now and then to keep it running strong and accurate.

DAILY MAINTENANCE

Your Rolex watch will require very minimal daily maintenance thanks to Rolex's expertise. Cleaning it using a microfiber cloth on a regular basis will assist to maintain its brilliance. You may also wash the case and bracelet with soapy water and a soft brush from time to time. HOW CAN I KNOW MY WRIST SIZE?

Measure Your Wrist:

Before making a purchase, take a moment to measure your wrist accurately. Use a flexible measuring tape or a simple piece of string, then compare the measurement against a ruler. This crucial step will give you a clear idea of the ideal watch size for your wrist.

HOW TO WIND A QUICKSET ROLEX?

STEP ONE: UNSCREW THE CROWN COUNTERCLOCKWISE

While holding the Rolex in your hand, turn the crown counterclockwise towards you. The winding crown will begin to release from the screws within the watch. Once the winding crown has completely detached from the screws, it will pop out and go into the winding position.

STEP TWO: WIND THE CROWN

With the winding crown popped out and into the winding position, you will turn the winding crown clockwise or forward for 35 to 40 rotations. You should begin to feel the tension and hear a light-clicking sound. This is how you know the gears inside the watch are winding.

STEP THREE: SET THE DATE

After turning the winding crown for approximately 40 rotations, you can now set the date on your Rolex. To do this, you will use the winding crown once again. (We weren’t lying when we said the turning crown was the star of the show!) Pull the winding crown gently, and it will pop out slightly. This places the winding crown in the correct position to change the date. Turn the knob of the crown clockwise away from you as many rotations as you need to get to the correct date.
STEP FOUR: SET THE TIME
Using the winding crown again, gently pull the winding crown once more, and you will feel it pop out to the position in which you can set the time on your Rolex. Set the time by turning the knob of the crown clockwise away from you. You will see the hands on the clock begin to turn. Keep turning the crown until you have reached the correct time.

STEP FIVE: PUSH THE CROWN INTO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION

Once you have set your time and date for your Rolex, you will need to close the crown. To do this, you will simply push the crown until it clicks back into place. Keeping the crown closed is important because it will prevent dirt, dust, and water from entering your watch.

STEP SIX: SCREW THE CROWN BACK INTO PLACE

You will need to screw the crown back into place. Just a few turns to the crown clockwise or away from you will screw the crown back into place.

HOW TO WIND A NON-QUICKSET ROLEX?

STEP ONE: UNSCREW THE CROWN COUNTERCLOCKWISE

While holding the Rolex in your hand, turn the crown counterclockwise towards you. The winding crown will begin to release from the screws within the watch. Once the winding crown has completely detached from the screws, it will pop out and go into the winding position.

STEP TWO: WIND THE CROWN

With the winding crown popped out and into the winding position, you will turn the winding crown clockwise or forward for 20 to 40 rotations. You should begin to feel the tension and hear a light-clicking sound. This is how you know the gears inside the watch are winding.

HOW CAN I WIND MY ROLEX?

Winding your watch is not always necessary, but if you find yourself needing to, it isn't as hard as it may look. Rolex watches have inbuilt devices that ensure you cannot overwind, so it's almost impossible to do it wrong.

The first thing you need to ensure when winding your Rolex is that you never do so whilst you have it on your wrist. Instead, place your Rolex on a soft, flat surface before you start the procedure.

Then, unscrew the crown to position two, which is the data changing position - wind it between 30 to 40 times. Once finished, remember to screw the crown back in - wa-la! you are done!

HOW TO SET THE TIME AND DATE ON NON-QUICKSET ROLEX?

STEP ONE

Pull the crown out slightly, moving it counterclockwise. (2x for every 24 hours)

In a counter-clockwise motion pass 12 o’clock to change the date, and continue to do so until you reach the appropriate time and correct date.

STEP THREE

Once you have set your time and date for your Rolex, you will need to close the crown. To do this, simply push the crown until it clicks back into place. Keeping the crown closed is important because it will prevent dirt, dust, and water from entering your watch.

IS MY ROLEX WATERPROOF?

Good question!

Depending on the model you purchase your watch can be waterproof. Older models, specifically vintage models will not be guaranteed by us due to the age and intricate mechanism.

In fact, Rolex has made two models dedicated for Deep Sea Divers, and H20 fanatics. They are the Perpetual Oyster and the Submariner, even some Celline models. We do not guarantee any model older than 2019 to be waterproof, especially if not one of those three models.

IS MY WATCH WATERPROOF?

The term "waterproof" has been replaced with "water resistant" as it was very misleading.

'Water-resistant' means the watch can resist immediate penetration of water to some degree but not for very long or completely. People assumed their watch could do anything underwater or go to any depth. In watch terminology, the meter depth is measured differently than what it says.

Vintage watches are considered to have 30m water resistance, which means the watch cannot be submerged in water or showered. Washing your hands or out in the rain will not harm your vintage watch
